Penny stocks are certainly the most affordable investment out there. You could literally buy a bundle of shares for just $1 depending on the price of the share. If nothing else it’s a good conversation piece when you can tell someone you own a million shares of a certain company. This is what makes a penny stock so lucrative. The more shares you have then the more that gain per share adds quickly. It’s tough to get any real profit when you can only buy two shares of a company who is selling at $500 a share.

Some would argue that penny stocks are not affordable because of the associated risk. These are typically people who have lost money investing incorrectly or who have never tried in the first place.
