I received a few emails last week asking if I knew what the most active penny stocks were. It was an interesting question as the answer changes day to day. The answer also depends on who you ask. Some people consider the most active penny stock to be one that has the most trading volume but as you may already know, that doesn’t necessarily mean profits as it could be everyone selling off.

Then there are those, such as myself, who consider the most active penny stocks to be the ones which have been going up steadily for more than a week. Typical activity for a penny stock is to go up for a day or two and then decline thereafter. The best source for those type of stocks would be trading forums but don’t be fooled, that activity could simply be because it was mentioned on a forum and not because of any long lasting performance factors.
