Penny Stocks are Great During a Recession or Anytime for that Matter
So many people are worried about how 2008 will turn out and if there will be a recession. The word recession has been thrown around a lot lately and no one knows for sure if and when it is actually happening. Lets say there really is a recession for this conversation. How would this effect the stock market? Well, the stock market will always be there even if the numbers change. So even though penny stocks have are priced low they will always be there during good and bad times but perhaps priced even lower.
Recessions effect everyone including companies and their profits. That never stopped people from investing in the past. In these times about the only stocks that are affordable to the average person are penny stocks. Penny stocks are risky no matter how the economy is but are a great investment if invested in wisely. Besides, all successful companies were penny stocks at one time or another.
If there was a recession then penny stocks would get a lot more attention since people would have less money to spend and would not be as picky. There would be less negative talk about a stock that would present more people than ever before with an opportunity to invest. These are the times when people see penny stocks differently. You see its all about perspective and approach. Anybody can lose money doing anything if done incorrectly.
Most people who have something negative to say about penny stocks probably investing in them incorrectly or know nothing about them. Its easy to say something negative about a stock when you have lost money. Most give up on these stock types when they lose money. Some go a step further and spread bad news about them.
So will 2008 be a recession? Probably not, just a bump in the road. Will it be a good year to invest in penny stocks? Definitely. Just invest cautiously. Penny stocks have never represented a bad investment just one that should be approached with caution. Its easy to take the advice of others without really knowing the truth but including penny stocks as a part of your portfolio is a smart move any day of the week.
